Mrs. Spitzer's Garden and The Parable of the Sower explains how everyone has a choice to be open to the Words of Jesus. The seed is God's Word, and the ground is the hearts of those people who hear God's Word.  God's Word cannot grow in hard hearts, just as seed cannot grow in hard ground.  It cannot grow in hearts too filled with things that choke it.  But it will grow in hearts that receive it.

Roots that run deep, drinking in the strength of God's love and Word, His Son that shines on us daily, encouraging us to be what He, God, wants us to be..strong young boys and girls ready to be followers of their Creator and Lord.
