Pope Francis I

Yesterday, March 13, 2013 Pope Francis I was choosen as the new Pope for the Roman Catholic Church.
Pope Francis I is from Argentina.

We made Pope hats called Mitres, we voted for a Pope in 2B and we waited for the white smoke to appear.  We also wrote about what God expects from a Pope.  We discovered that all of us are asked by God to reflect His image.  We made a book about becoming a Pope.   Mr. Beimers (our own St. Matthew) dropped off our book and a letter at St. Mathew's Elementary Roman Catholic School.  Since St. Matthew's is our neighbourhood school,  we wanted to build community in our school district.  Our message.....that God would bless Pope Francis I as he leads the Roman Catholic Church.
