A Ducky Farewell

Today in 2B we said good-bye to Quack and Tank our classroom ducks.  We treated Quack and Tank to a field trip in the forest.  Our first task was to brainstorm.

1. Question: How do we make a safe place for Tank and Quack in the forest?
Answer:  Work as a community and build a mini farm for them to get used to a new habitat.

Question:  Where will Tank and Quack swim?
Answer:    Get a plastic tub and fill it with water.

Question:  What will Tank and Quack eat?
Answer:   Find someone brave to dig in the compost for worms.

Question:  What is the best way to observe ducks in a natural habitat.
Answer:    Bring Quack and Tank outside and let them be a duck.

Question:   Where will Tank and Quack go when 2B starts to smell like duck poop?
Answer:    Tank and Quack will go to the Jonkers and live happily on their farm.

We have been incredibly blessed to observe ducks and chickens hatch before our eyes.
We have been blessed to feed ducks from our hands.
We have been blessed to watch ducks dive bomb under water and repel all wetness.
We have been blessed to observe dcuks shake water and preen themselves.
We have been blessed to feel wiggly worms in our hands and feel the vibrations as a duck eats them.
We have been blessed by a creation of the Creator.

We have been blessed!
